BioI'm a good person, with a good heart. I'm upfront & honest, and try not to be malicious. I like to be treated with honesty as well. I care about a lot of things and I'm sensitive but I don't like emotional mess and have grown out of dishing it out too. Life is too short. I'm really happy with my life. I think it's pretty rad. I have a wonderful job as a DUSA representative that involves working with lots of people and doing good things. I appreciate everything I have (and try not to focus on what I don't).
I know that I am not original and if you're not careful I'll suck all of your style and ideas from you. Maybe if you're lucky I'll give you a little credit. I am simply a construction of ideas and style that I have fallen in love with over time. I'm not really camp, not really alternative, not really who you think I am, pretty much. I take the piss out of everything, especially myself :) Laughing is important and being able to laugh at yourself is important. Yet at the same time I get accused of being the most serious and blunt person people know. It's all about balance!
I dance like a bitch on heat. I <3 dancing. I go out to dance, not to pick up randoms. I'm not scared of anything... except rejection. I am an ENTJ (very much so - but am working on the negative aspects). If you know what that means let me know!</b>
I <3 Art. Of all kinds and mediums.... visual, media, theatre, photography, poetry, literature, installation, performance art... I love and appreciate all of it. I worked in a drama school and casting agency, have a drama degree (well, pretty much) and am just floating along enjoying life soaking up art and ideas. Not in any rush to have a career as an actor or artist. In fact, I think I'm over it. I keep getting distracted by other, more important, things like politics and queer activism, things that make a difference to others. Those things take up my whole life at the moment coz I work full time for my Student Association/Union/Guild. Standing up for students rights, helping others, making sure that I live my life in an ethical and moral way are all important to me. No, I'm not a radical... but have radical ideas occasionally. This is not to say that I don't love radicals, it'd just be an injustice to them to brand me one. I'm definitely not pink dollar or superficial. I am progressive and proud.
I like being social as much as I like crashing at home with a newspaper and/or book and catching up on sleep. I also like to clean and rearrange shit and/or bake when I'm stressed. Yeah, I'm a freak. :) I can be seen by some to be a bit tough but that's usually because I don't let anything get in my way and I always get the job done. I'll always be the last one standing and I'll always get what I want. It's just lucky that I use the power for good, not evil. I've fought hard to get when I am today but there's always more to learn, more to experience, more good that I can do.
My favourite five words that describe me: White Trash With Expensive Taste.
